ABF Freight’s carrier rates are only available via the ArcBest API. This article provides instructions for signing up for ABF Freight’s API and adding your ABF Freight account to ShipHawk.

Signing up for ArcBest’s API

The following section gives detailed instructions for signing up for ArcBest’s API, which gives you access to ABF Freight rates.

To sign up for an ArcBest API:

1. Navigate to https://arcb.com/apps/api. A login screen appears.

2. Log into your account. The API Registration screen appears.

Open

3. Complete the screen and fill out the required fields for Name, Email Address and Phone Number.

4. Once completed, you will have access to your API key.

This section provides instructions for adding ABF Freight to ShipHawk.

Providing the API Key to Your Implementation Engineer

The following section provides detailed procedures for how to provide the API key for ABF Freight to your Implementation Engineer.

To relay your API key to your Implementation Engineer:

1. Log into your Basecamp account: https://launchpad.37signals.com/signin. The dashboard appears.

2. Navigate to the To Dos card in your ShipHawk implementation project.

3. Under the To Dos - Project Resources - Carrier Credentials section, select the ABF Freight task. The task screen appears.

4. In the comments section, tag your Implementation Engineer and type in your API Key.

5. Your Implementation Engineer will add it to ShipHawk for you and complete the task once done.
