Multi-Origin Rating with BigCommerce
BigCommerce now supports multi-location inventory management, and ShipHawk offers multi-origin rating.
Once BigCommerce is connected, you can have the option of using ShipHawk’s multi-origin rating with BigCommerce’s multi-location inventory management. ShipHawk will provide rates based on all the available locations of each item in an order.
All BigCommerce locations used for rating should have the code value populated. The code value should match the ShipHawk warehouse code.
BigCommerce is responsible for adjusting inventory on its end. The multi-origin rating feature was designed solely for rating and does not handle fulfillment. BigCommerce does not allow ShipHawk to change the fulfillment location, which may differ from the order’s location when the multi-origin rating feature is enabled. BigCommerce always uses the default origin location when creating orders.
All active BigCommerce locations must exist in Shiphawk as warehouses, where the ShipHawk warehouse code must be equal to the BigCommerce location code.
In the Manage Your Account settings for BigCommerce (Settings > Integrations > BigCommerce), you have:
Enable Multi-Origin Rating? – When enabled, ShipHawk provide rates based on all the available locations of each order item.
Sync order with selected rate? – When enabled, ShipHawk generates a proposed shipment based on the rate selected in-cart, and it will ignore other proposed shipment generation shipping policies.
