Carrier Messaging for FTL Orders
NEW as of the ShipHawk TMS 2025.1.0 release.
For a high-level overview, see Full-truckload (FTL) Shipping.
Please contact your account manager if you are interested in this capability.
The carrier messaging for FTL orders feature provides the ability to contact FTL carriers directly by email from the Order Details page to arrange FTL shipment for an order.
While this feature is primarily for communicating with FTL carriers, the feature can be used for email-based communication with any type of carrier.
While shippers work within the Order Details page and related pop-up windows to communicate with carriers, the carrier contacts receive a notification email that directs them to a purpose-built ShipHawk portal for further communication with the shipper. The shipper and carrier each have their own ShipHawk-based workflow for communicating with each other about a shipment. Additionally, admin users also have a workflow for identifying the carriers ('email carriers') that the shipper can contact.
