ShipHawk Guide

How do I configure the capability to ship internationally?

To set up international shipments on the ShipHawk user interface, you need the following:

  • Harmonization (HS) Codes for products in ShipHawk

  • Country of Origin for products in ShipHawk

  • ETD enabled for paperless invoicing (purely optional) for their carrier credentials.

  • (Optional) Ensure you have everything they want mapped to the commercial invoice.

Parcel international shipments function very similarly to normal domestic shipments apart from needing to manage the customs data in ShipHawk. ShipHawk handles most of this automatically but some checking is recommended until your process is established.

For more information, see:

  1. How to Populate Harmonized System (HS) Codes in ShipHawk

  2. USMCA / Generic Certificate of Origin

  3. Adding a Carrier to your ShipHawk Account
(See step to select the Enable ETD option under the Electronic Trade Documents (ETD) section if your organization uses ETD.)

  4. How do I know if paperless/electronic invoicing is applied to a shipment?

  5. Commercial Invoice (Settings Screen)
