ShipHawk Guide
What does a shipment status of "Exception" mean?
ANSWER
The Exception status allows the user to indicate that a particular shipment has some problem related to the transportation of this shipment.
For example, in an order with two packages, one package is delivered but the second package is lost. The user can mark that shipment as an Exception.
The Exception status IS NOT set automatically by ShipHawk. It is a tool that users can add to a shipment from the Shipment Details screen. The following section provides instructions for accessing this screen.
To add an exception to a shipment:
Log into your ShipHawk account. The ShipHawk dashboard appears.
From the top menu, click on the Shipments link. The Shipments screen appears.
Select a shipment from the list and click on its shipping ID. The Shipment Details screen for that shipment appears.
Click the Add Exception link on the right menu. The Create Exception screen appears.
Select an option from the Exception Code drop-down field.
If the issue has been resolved, click on the Mark as resolved toggle button.
Click the Save button to finish.
