How to reinstall PrintNode

ANSWER

PrintNode is the primary printing software that ShipHawk uses to print labels.
Occasionally, users may need to uninstall/reinstall PrintNode to rediscover older printers that have an updated printer name on the computer and register them again to print properly.

Reinstalling PrintNode on MacOS:

  1. Locate the PrintNode app in the Finder in Mac.

  2. Drag the app to the Trash, or select the app and choose File > Move to Trash.

  3. To delete the app, choose Finder > Empty Trash.

  4. Next we need to re-install the PrintNode app.

  5. Go to https://www.printnode.com/en/download and download the version appropriate for your computer.

  6. Follow the installation instructions on the screen.

  7. Once installed, PrintNode will discover all active printers and show those in ShipHawk printing settings. They can be found under Settings > Printing > Label Printing Settings

Reinstalling PrintNode on Windows:

  1. In your computer, select Start, then select Settings > Apps > Apps & features

  2. Select the Printnode app to be removed, and then select Uninstall.

  3. To re-install Printnode, go to https://www.printnode.com/en/download and download the version appropriate for your computer.

  4. Follow the installation instructions on the screen.

  5. Once installed, Printnode will discover all active printers and show those in ShipHawk printing settings. They can be found under Settings > Printing > Label Printing Settings
