An LTL carrier can provide you with a range (a “book”) of PRO numbers, with some starting number and some ending number. ShipHawk can apply the numbers, incrementing by 1, from the starting number to the ending number. (Note that you must get the range of PRO numbers from a carrier.) You can specify this book of PRO numbers for the carrier in ShipHawk on the Settings > PRO Numbers screen.
Click the +Add PRO NUMBERS button.
The Add PRO Numbers pop-up is displayed:
Complete the fields in the Add PRO Numbers pop-up window:
Name: Enter a name for the “book” (the range of PRO numbers). For example, enter “FedEx PRO Numbers Set A”.
Carrier: Select the carrier from the drop-down.
Warehouse: Optionally, select a warehouse (or All Warehouses) available.
Carrier Account: Select the carrier account from the drop-down.
PRO NUMBER RANGE
Start: Enter the starting PRO number in the range.
End: Enter the ending PRO number in the range.
NOTIFICATIONS
In Notify when n PRO numbers left, enter the number n for the notification of when you only have n numbers remaining (for example, 50).
Enter Email for Notification: Enter the email address to which you would like the notification sent for an alert about remaining PRO numbers within the range.Click ADD PRO NUMBERS.
The PRO numbers “book” is listed in ‘Pending’ status.
To start using them, mark the book as ‘Active’ to have the system start assigning the PRO numbers.
The PRO numbers are automatically assigned to the specified carriers' LTL shipments, are placed on the BOLs generated for those shipments, and are used for tracking purposes.
