Use the Address Validation page to manage your organization’s address validation strategy. ShipHawk’s Address Validation services can verify and correct destination addresses for your orders.
Address Validation Strategy: Use this field to set your organization’s address validation strategy.
Manual: Decide when you would like to validate an address manually. If the address is invalid, you have the opportunity to correct the address to the suggested one.
Auto validation: Address is automatically validated, but not corrected. You have the option to correct the address to the suggested one.
Auto correction: Address is automatically validated and corrected.
Automatically correct destination address location type for rate requests: Allow ShipHawk to detect and correct destination address location type (residential or commercial) for rate requests in the user interface.
Ignore PO box type: If enabled, ShipHawk will not check for PO box type when validating an address.
Automatically detect PO box addresses: If enabled, ShipHawk will automatically detect whether the destination address entered is a PO box.
